BUILDINGS
THAT WORK

Many firms now have LEED® accreditation and talk about sustainability, but Viridian stands alone in having vast experience in designing sustainable buildings that work. We’re not only committed to being good stewards of our natural resources, we understand all of the ways that sustainable buildings make good business sense. For us, sustainability is both ethical and practical.

Our benchmarks for delivering sustainable designs are:
    • Low cost of ownership over the lifecycle;
    • Ease of operation;
    • Low maintenance;
    • Energy efficiency;
    • And most importantly, it has to be built to last.

Sustainable architecture is our passion. We live and breathe it every day. That’s why when you work with Viridian, you have a lead architect who is involved throughout every stage from design to construction. Unlike many firms, we are very hands-on. Our president, Terry Thornsbury, was an Air Force mechanic and had a background in construction before attending architecture school. Under his leadership, the Viridian team shares a commitment to rolling up our sleeves and seeing every project through to completion. And yes, in case you’re wondering, Terry lives up to the “green” stereotype — he drives a hybrid.
