A 330,000 square feet manufacturing facility for Scot Industries, Inc. is located in Auburn, Indiana. The facility is primarily used for chrome plating processes for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder fabrication. The chrome plating processes require special considerations for worker’s safety, which was addressed through the construction of a special 2-hour fire rated wall system that subdivides the building. The building consists of two (2) separate office spaces. The two (2) story entry office has private offices, conference rooms, a large break room, restrooms, and showers, and it serves as the primary entrance for both visitors and employees. The two (2) story Inner Office is used as the central operations station for manufacturing. The second floor was built with a full-height glass wall system that allows supervisors and operators to oversee the entire plant from one centralized viewpoint.
