New Star*Quest Observatory

The Star*Quest Observatory for the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society will be a new 1,500 square feet facility located within Fox Island County Park. The new Observatory will include an observation room with a retractable roof system to open the building to an unobstructed night sky. The building will also include a computer and library room as well as mechanical and storage spaces. This project will incorporate many sustainable design concepts including recycled content materials, regional materials, pervious concrete paving, and a rainwater catchment system for on-site irrigation.
