The complete renovation of the existing 4,160 square feet Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy (OT / PT) spaces at the John D. Dingell V.A. Medical Center included the removal and demolition of existing and rarely used hydrotherapy tubs and underutilized spaces to open up needed space for new equipment, treatment and office space, as well as the removal of all existing flooring, ceiling, finishes, and lighting. The renovated space welcomes veterans through a new centralized entrance, and it provides better privacy for veterans as they meet with doctors and therapists in the newly added treatment spaces. New offices and storage rooms provide better use of the overall space, and the finishes bring new life to the space with bright and exciting colors. With the new spatial layout, all existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and fire protection systems were modified and rerouted.
